Current biomedical research needs young scientists who are familiar with the latest methods and techniques in biology and biochemistry and who also have broad medical knowledge. “Molecular medicine specialists” are the link between modern life sciences and medicine. The aim of their training is to enable them to research the complex molecular causes of human diseases. Once these causes are better understood, new methods can be developed to diagnose and treat diseases in a targeted manner.

The Molecular Medicine (B.Sc.) program shares some courses with the Human Medicine program. These courses must be taken in German. Therefore, knowledge of German is required for this program and it cannot be completed in English.
