Prof. Veer studied technology and management-oriented business administration at the Technical University of Munich (Diplom-Kauffrau) with a stay abroad at the Bordeaux ?cole de Management. She received her doctorate in economics (Dr. rer. oec.) with a focus on innovation economics at the Technical University of Berlin under Prof. Dr. Knut Blind. After completing her doctorate, Prof. Veer worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the ESADE Business School in Barcelona from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, she accepted a position at the University of Tübingen as a junior professor for strategy and corporate management, where she also served as academic director of the University of Tübingen's Startup Centre from 2022 onwards. Research stays took her to the Kellogg School of Management, Boston University and Copenhagen Business School, among others. Since 1 October 2025, Prof. Veer has held the Chair of Sustainable Innovation and Technology Management at the University of Regensburg. In addition to her academic career, Prof. Veer has practical experience as a founder and managing director at the interface of sustainability and digital transformation.
