Chair of Data Security and Cryptography

Welcome to the website of the Chair of Data Security and Cryptography at the Faculty of Informatics and Data Science at the University of Regensburg.

In our research we study diverse aspects of cryptography, especially post-quantum cryptography. More detailed information about our research topics, current publications, and projects can be found in the research section.

The computer science degree programs at the University of Regensburg started in the winter term 2023/24. In the upcoming terms we will offer various courses on cryptography and especially post-quantum cryptography. Currently we supervise bachelor and master theses, also for students from other universities. Further information and open topics can be found in the teaching section. In the summer term 2025, we offer a introductory course on cryptopgraphy (link in German).
