Research topics
Her research topic is experiential learning in cybersecurity.
Short biography
Magdalena studied management information systems at the University of Regensburg, the University College Dublin in Ireland and the Ionian University in Greece. Her primary field of study in her bachelor's and master's program was cybersecurity. Throughout her studies, Magdalena was a scholar of the MINT-program of the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation (Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung). Since October 2021, she is a research assistant at the Chair of Information Systems I (Prof. Dr. Pernul). At the chair, she is involved in the INSIST research project, funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, building a Security Operations Center (SOC) for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
Her research is about enhancing organizational cybersecurity through experiential learning for cybersecurity experts and novices, focusing on experiential awareness and utilizing cyber ranges for training and education.
