On May 10th, the Welcome Center organized a small hike along the Danube to Mariaort. Here are some impressions of the day and a recommendation to explore the surroundings of Regensburg by yourself:
Mariaort is a great destination for a shorter hike/walk on a sunny day. A 6km walk along the river Danube from Regensburg's Eiserner Steg will take you to a railway bridge that you can cross to a small village on the other side of the river. After the hike, you can reward yourself in a beer garden in Mariaort or jump in the Danube at one of the bathing spots along the way!
