• Wichtige Informationen: We focus on the molecular aspects of maize yield, with a particular emphasis on agriculturally relevant questions of plant developmental biology and plant-pathogen interactions plus their points of overlap. In recent years, we also started to investigate the impact of climate change on maize yield. To enable groundbreaking research on maize, which is not a typical laboratory model plant but the world's most grown staple crop, our research always also aims at establishing novel methods specifically tailored to maize.
