After a basic introduction to the tasks of production management, the lecture first deals with the conditions for the efficient use of the production factors material, operating resources and human labour. In particular, it deals with questions of material procurement and provision, warehousing, production organisation, work design and remuneration. This is followed by a description of the production planning and control systems used in practice. The focus is on concepts of forecasting, production programme planning, material requirements planning, scheduling and capacity planning, production control (sequence planning) and newer systems such as Kanban or just-in-time production.
Regulations for bachelor candidates for participation in repeat examinations as
First-time writers
Students can only take repeat examinations as first-time writers if
during the semester in which the regular examination took place
a) a semester abroad
b) a semester of leave
c) a certified case of illness
was present. In all cases, it is necessary to have an application for participation as a first-timer in a repeat examination signed by Prof. Dr Otto. This application (external link, opens in a new window)is available at the Examination Office.
Information for foreign students in the ERASMUS programme
Students who require attendance certificates should have their attendance confirmed by the member of the teaching staff after each lecture or exercise.
Students who take part in courses and examinations will receive certificates on which grades and ECTS are noted. As it is usually not possible for foreign students to register for examinations via Flex-Now, registration is accepted at the chair's office. Information on the examinations and the registration deadlines will be announced in good time on our homepage and on the notice board in the glass case (opposite the Departmental Library of Economics).
