A personal Microsoft account is available to all members of the university (employees, students) and all guests with IT access.
The use of Microsoft Cloud services is voluntary. As a user, you are responsible for complying with the data protection guidelines.
Which of these services you can use depends on whether you are an employee, student or guest, as the university has concluded different licence agreements for the different user groups.

Registration
The M365 user name is a combination of the RZ user name and the extension
- @ads.uni-regensburg.de
(e.g.: vip12345@ads.uni-regensburg.de) - use your RZ password as password
