Rules for the behavioural experiments in the RUBY LAB
- For each experiment, a fixed number of registered persons will receive an invitation by email. Only invited persons are authorised to participate in the experiment.
- After receiving an email invitation to an experiment, the participant must actively register for a session in order to participate in the experiment. This registration is a binding commitment to participate in the selected experimental session.
- More participants can register for each experiment than are required. The first people to arrive at the lab will take part in the experiment. Participants who have registered and are present on time, but are unable to participate due to capacity or other reasons, will receive compensation of �5.00 for their attendance.
- Participants will receive monetary compensation for their participation in the experiment. The amount of compensation depends on the decisions made during the experiment and can therefore vary between participants.
- During an experiment, all participants must adhere to the rules set out by the experimenter in the instructions.
- To ensure that only participants who have been invited and properly registered by email take part in the experiment, all participants must identify themselves (document with picture). If a person cannot identify themselves, they will not be able to participate in the experiment and will not receive any compensation for their attendance.
- Participants who have declared their willingness to participate in a particular experiment and do not turn up or turn up late will threaten the conduct of the experiment due to a lack of participants. In the event of late appearance and non-participation, the person will not receive any compensation. In the event of repeated unexcused no-shows or repeated late arrivals, the person will be excluded from participating in further experiments.
- Persons who register more than once in the recruitment system are automatically excluded.
