Bachelor's Thesis
Bachelor's thesis topics are allocated centrally using a computerised distribution system.
The complete range of topics offered by all chairs of the Department can be viewed in the distribution system at the end of the previous semester.
The students' stated preferences are taken into account when assigning students to topics.
The procedure takes place in three stages
1st Phase: In the first phase, students must register via: https://winf-service.uni-regensburg.de/ (external link, opens in a new window)
2nd Phase: In the second phase, students can select the topics. After the second phase, the Bachelor's thesis topics are assigned.
3rd Phase: In the third phase, students can view the topic they have received or choose a topic that is still available. Exchange with a partner who agrees can only take place via the responsible supervisors.
If you have any questions about the process, please contact us by e-mail via sekretariat.leist(at)ur.de (opens your email program) or by telephone ++49 941 / 943-3201.
Contents of the Module:
With their B.Sc. thesis, students document that they are able to critically and independently work on a (offered or self-chosen) topic in business informatics using the methods of the previous Bachelor's studies and under the guidance of a supervisor. Skills in critical analysis and written exposition are important and must be learnt. In this way, the bachelor's thesis not only contributes to rounding off the academic competences of Bachelor's students, but also directly to their professional qualification.
Qualification Goals of the Module:
On degree of this module, students should be able to analyse a challenging topic in business informatics and also to fix it in writing in a convincing and understandable way for third parties. The described independent and methodical processing of a topic in business informatics builds on the learning outcomes of the Bachelor's studies.
