DIMAS provides a platform for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers based with the DIMAS professors, as well as offering two postdoctoral positions that reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the Department.
It also continues several long-standing initiatives will be continued, including the Berkeley-Regensburg Doctoral Exchange Programme, the Area Studies Master's Prize and supporting the activities of the area studies focused Graduate School for Eastern and Southeastern European Studies (external link, opens in a new window).
The DIMAS Postdoctoral and Doctoral Members are also organising a series of lunchtime sessions aimed at discussing current debates in Area Studies, ongoing projects and other aspects of early career researchers such as publication strategies and third-party funding applications.
