As part of DIMAS, the Department of Interdisciplinary and Multiscale Area Studies, the University of Regensburg has appointed six professors with a wide range of regional and disciplinary expertise. The professors belong to four faculties at the UR:

Three professorships were initially filled by deputy professors in October 2020, thereby expanding research and teaching already related to area studies.

Other members of DIMAS

In addition to the six professorships, there are other members of DIMAS. The chairs and professors come from the four faculties. According to the DIMAS regulations (external link, opens in a new window), any professor or chair from the four faculties may apply for membership. The following professors - together with the assistant professors and other staff - are members of the department in addition to the direct DIMAS professors.
