Prof. Gabriel Lee, PhD

Das Fach Immobilien?konomie stellt die wichtigsten Themen vor, die für das Verst?ndnis von St?dten und Immobilienm?rkten (kommerzielle Immobilienm?rkte ebenso wie Wohnungsm?rkte) eine Rolle spielen: Der Einfluss ?konomischer Prinzipien auf die Nachfrage nach Immobilien, die Funktionsweise von Immobilienm?rkten, das Verh?ltnis zwischen Landnutzung, Bodenwert und Standort. Studenten, die das Fach belegt haben, sollen verstehen, wie Immobilienm?rkte funktionieren und wie sie mit anderen M?rkten zusammenh?ngen. Ebenfalls behandelt werden die Gründe für staatliche Intervention, die Formen staatlicher Eingriffe und die Bewertung der entsprechenden Politikma?nahmen.

Zur Person

Prof. Gabriel S. Lee, Ph.D. studierte Mathematik und Volkswirtschaftslehre an der University of Alberta (B.Sc.) und der University of Western Ontario (M.A. Economics). Er erwarb seinen Ph.D. (Economics) an der University of Chicago mit einer Arbeit über “Housing Investment under Time to Build and Adjustment Costs”. Nach verschiedenen Forschungsaufenthalten, die ihn unter anderem an die University of Pittsburgh, die University of California, Davis, die Universit?t Wien und die Universit?t Innsbruck führten, lehrte er als Dozent am Institut für H?here Studien in Wien. Seit April 2004 ist er Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Immobilien?konomie am neugegründeten Institut für Immobilienwirtschaft der Universit?t Regensburg. Professor Lee befasst sich haupts?chlich mit makro?konomischen und finanzwirtschaftlichen Themen und untersucht in diesem Zusammenhang vor allem die Rolle von Immobilien für das Investitionsportfolio einer Volkswirtschaft.
