Program of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts

The Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts provides the University with funding to attract international visiting professors.

The aim of the program is to recruit academics from abroad for a limited period of time in order to promote internationalization in teaching. It is possible and desirable to integrate the guest lecturers into research activities. The program is therefore aimed specifically at professors and lecturers at the University of Regensburg who would like to invite guests from abroad for a short-term lectureship at the UR.

The programme provides for teaching stays of one to a maximum of three months with completed courses corresponding to 2 to 4 semester hours per week. These courses can also take the form of block courses. These lectures can also take the form of block courses. The courses are to represent an additional teaching offer and are to be examined according to the credit point system valid at the UR.
